About Me

Ema: Hi and welcome! I'm still figuring things out, not necessarily just on this blog, but with life in general! I'm glad you stopped by and hope you come back again. I was born and raised in Texas and I currently reside in Lubbock. My mom says I'm a leaf blowing in the wind. I've lived in Lubbock, Austin and Roanoke, Texas; Lebanon, Connecticut; Denver, Colorado, Derry, New Hampshire and Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'm the youngest in a large Mexican-American family of 10. I hate to say or write that! Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of my Mexican heritage, but I'm an American. I've never even been to Mexico. But in today's society, it's all about the labels. Anyway, I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, plus my 90-yo mom. They all live in Lubbock as well. I am parent to 2 young adult (and I use the term loosely!) children, Jay and Nina. I used to be the recipient of a 6-lb Chihuahua's undying love. Sometimes I didn't think I deserved it! We called him Savage because he thought he was! He was always so happy to see me and he couldn't wait to hear all the details of my sordid life. I miss him so much! But that's ok, cause now I have YOU! ;)
